Lunchtime is your only chance to score some of the sweet handmade pastas at Pioneer Square’s Il Corvo, where the menu changes daily, but you can expect stuff along the lines of tagliatelle with wild boar ragu.

Authentic German Beer Hall in Seattle’s first neighborhood. Wide variety of beers, hand-made brats, pretzels, kraut, frites & mustard. Yum. Best place to watch football or write boxes of Christmas cards during the holidays–great mulled wine.

There’s always room for more restaurants in Pioneer Square: Mexican eatery Casco Antiguo is owned and operated by one of the owners of German bier hall Altstadt.

The space is split into two main ideas: a restaurant up front and a cantina in back. Some of the best tacos in the city.

The business has grown from a small general story to a gift shop, back bar (14 seats), and cellar. Family owned and run, they provide dry goods, small bites, classes, and spa treatments.

Nirmal’s is the culmination of over 30 years of culinary experience of Chef Nirmal Monteiro, their five-star chef. Chef Nirmal combines fresh local ingredients from the Pacific Northwest with traditional ingredients and spices from across India. They did an amazing job on the renovations as well.
